The Election Commission has released the final list of 61 candidates for the 16 divisions of the Pathanamthitta district panchayat on Saturday evening.
According to an official statement, 33 of the candidates are men and 28 women.
There will be 122 candidates, half of them women, in the Pathanamthitta municipality.
Adoor and Thiruvalla
The total number of candidates left in the electoral contest in Adoor and Thiruvalla municipalities is 106 and 140 respectively.
Block panchayats
The number of candidates remaining in the contest in various block panchayat divisions are: Mallappally: 43, Pulikeezhu: 43, Koipram: 41, Elanthoor: 40, Ranni: 47, Konni: 41, Pandalam: 41, Parakode: 52.
