50 bottles of IMFL seized

A man and his son were arrested by the Kollam police from the Pullikada colony in the city on Monday following the seizure of 50 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor from their possession. Assistant Commissioner of Police Rex Bobby Arwin said that the bottles were meant for sale on June 1 which was dry day.

The identity of the two arrested were given as Omanakuttan and his son Ratish alias C.C. Kuttan. Mr. Arwin said that the father-son duo had been engaged in selling IMFL during dry days. The police got a tip-off on it and kept a close watch. He said that the two were nabbed red-handed.

Their house was raided by a team headed by the Kollam East Circle Inspector S. Sherief and Sub Inspector P. Vipin Kumar. The arrested persons were produced before a magistrate court here and remanded to the district jail.
