Two killed as bikes collide in Payyannur
A road accident involving two motorcycles claimed lives of two youths near Payyannur on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Rahul Ramesh (22) and M. Akhilesh (22), both natives of nearby Peringome. The accident occurred at Ponnambara Junction near Payyannur as the motorcycles they were riding from opposite sides collided at around 8 a.m. Though the youths injured critically in the accident were rushed to hospital, their lives could not be saved. The bodies were taken to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
