A colourful procession turned into tragedy after a 22-year-old youth, carrying actor Sudeep’s hoarding, died owing to electrocution in Shahpur town of Yadgir district on Thursday.
The incident took place during a procession held to celebrate the release of Sudeep’s new Kannada film Ranna.
Rayappa Sanganna Hotter of Halisagar locality was holding the hoarding atop a tractor when he came in contact with a live wire, the police said.
A case has been registered in Shahpur police station.
