May 15, 2015 06:05 pm | Updated 06:05 pm IST - Bidar:

Former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa will visit the district on May 22 to speak to party workers about the gram panchayat polls. He will address a rally in Basava Kalyan and tour villages.

He will campaign for candidates supported by the party, district president Shivaraj Gandage told presspersons on Friday.

Basavaraj Bommai, former Minister, will tour villages, Mr. Gandage said.

Shantappa Patil, State-unit treasurer of the BJP's OBC wing, released a booklet describing what the party called the complete failure of the Siddaramaiah government. He said the government had failed to ensure that cooperative sugar factories paid sugarcane arrears.
