A woman and her two-year-old son were found dead at their residence at Lakshmi Extension in Chikkamagaluru on Monday morning. The deceased have been identified as Mamatha (30) and Yellappa (2).
The police suspected that the woman killed her son before setting herself ablaze. The reason for her act are yet to be known. Chikkamagalur police are enquiring her husband Ramesh about the incident.
