Windscreens of cars parked in front of houses in Satyanarayan Pet First Cross and Patel Nagar were found damaged in the early hours of Sunday.

The incident caused panic among vehicle owners. According to the police, nine cars, including sports utility vehicles, too have been damaged.

Sources in the Gandhi Nagar police, who registered a case, informed The Hindu that they had some definite clues to nab the culprits.

The police would verify the closed circuit television camera footage in Patel Nagar and also at some of the private offices in the locality to nab the culprits, the sources added.
