January 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - Bidar:

Basava Seva Pratishtana, a Bidar-based organisation committed to spreading awareness about Basaveshwara’s teachings, plans to celebrate the annual Vachana Vijayotsava fest in a unique manner. It organised a blood donation camp at the Sharana Udyan in Bidar on Thursday where 106 people donated blood. A job mela would be organised to provide jobs to the youth. “We are organising the mela in association with the Belagavi-based Jolle Fondation. Already over 1,400 youth have registered their names,” said Akka Annapurna, head of Basava Seva Pratishtana. The mela will be held on January 31.
