Three preparing to commit dacoity arrested, lethal weapons seized

Koppal (Town) Police have arrested three persons who were preparing to commit dacoity and seized lethal weapons from them. The police have also recovered gold (290 grams) and silver (350 grams) valued, in all, at ₹ 12.82 lakh from them.

The arrest has helped solve three cases of robbery, house break-in thefts that had occurred in the past few months, the police said.

The names of the arrested persons were given as Umesh, Srisail and Kumar, all residents of Indi in Vijayapura taluk. A dagger, sticks, iron rods, chilli powder, masks and gloves and a car, bearing Maharashtra registration, were seized from them, a press release from Tyagarajan, Superintendent of Police, said.
