B.K. Singh, Inspector-General of Police, Southern Range, on Tuesday, ordered suspension of three police personnel on the charge of dereliction of duty, which allegedly led to the murder of two persons during a recent clash between the supporters of two political parties after the gram panchayat election at Kilegere village in Chamarajanagar taluk. Names of the suspended police personnel were given as Circle Inspector of Police Mahadevappa, Sub-inspector Srikanth and police constable Lingaraju. Earlier, there was a report that a clash had erupted between the supporters of two political parties after the gram panchayat election at Kilegere in Chamarajanagar rural police station limits. Stating that the three police personnel were responsible for the clash, as they had failed to make proper security arrangements for the polls, Mr. Singh ordered their suspension, sources said.
