Thieves strike at three places, including temple

Some unidentified persons allegedly broke into three places in K.R. Pet Town police station limits on Friday and decamped with valuables and cash. After damaging the door of a Government Composite PU College at Aghalaya village, the culprits are said to have stolen one LPG cylinder, two bags of toor dal, one rice bag, a motor installed for pumping water and a few other materials. Headmaster A. Ranganath has filed a complaint with the K.R. Pet Town police.

The culprits are said to have broken into Maramma temple at Nayasinganahalli and looted a silver trident (trishul), a bell and other puja materials, priest J. Manjunath has told the police.

In the third incident, a laptop, computer system and some electronic gadgets were stolen from Murukamahalli gram panchayat office, as per a complaint lodged by Panchayat Development Officer Tilakkumar.
