The first additional district and sessions court has granted conditional bail to Sardar Sevalal Swami, who was in jail from April first week this year in connection with alleged sexual harassment to a lady in Davangere city.

The court has granted bail to the seer on condition that he should not try to destroy the evidences.

2013 case

In 2013, a resident of Bharath colony in Davangere had filed a complaint against the Davangere women’s police station alleging that the swamiji had sexually harassed her and based on the complaint a charge sheet submitted against the swami.

Though the seer had obtained anticipatory bail from the court, he had failed to appear before the court even after issuing summons for three times.

The court had ordered to arrest swami in April first week this year.
