SIT conducts search in MLA’s house

Sleuths from the Lokayukta Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing into illegal transportation/exports of iron ore, conducted simultaneous searches in Ballari and Hosapete on Saturday.

According to sources, teams from SIT searched the houses of B.S. Anand Singh, Vijayanagar MLA, and his cousins, Gopal Singh, Nanda Singh and Sham Singh, in Hosapete to collect evidences in cases registered against them in connection with illegal mining.

Similarly, another team searched the house of Mythilesh of V.Nag mines. The SIT is investigating illegal transportation/exports of iron ore up to 50,000 tonnes by mining companies and traders. Full details of the searches are yet to be disclosed.
