Savadi blames Kumaraswamy for crisis

July 15, 2019 12:58 am | Updated 12:58 am IST - Tumakuru

BJP leader and former Minister Laxman Savadi on Sunday lashed out at Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy by saying that the present political crisis in the State was because of his “audacity”.

Mr. Savadi told reporters in Tumakuru that all MLAs were camping in resorts now. If Mr. Kumaraswamy had resigned immediately after rebels legislators tendered their resignations, this situation would not have arose, he said.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader K.N. Rajanna alleged that Public Works Minister H.D. Revanna was the reason for all the present political developments in the State.

He alleged that Mr. Revanna had “tormented” the MLAs and drove them to take the extreme step of submitting their resignations from the Assembly membership.
