₹ 95,000 in cash, in all, and a liquor bottle taken away

A gang of unidentified persons broke open the shutters of three commercial shops at Anandeshwar Nagar near Ram Mandir in Kalaburagi in the early hours of Thursday and decamped with ₹ 95,000 in cash from two shops and a liquor bottle from the third shop.

Two masked men were caught on the CCTV camera. The footage recovered from one of the shops, recorded at 2.38 a.m. on Thursday, shows a masked man removing money from the cash counter.

The burglary came to light in the morning. The three shops are Neeraja Enterprises, a tyre shop, and a departmental store and a liquor shop. The gang entered the tyre shop and escaped with ₹ 80,000 in cash kept in the cash counter. Moving into the departmental store, the gang broke open the shutters and made away with ₹ 15,000 in cash and finally, it bent the grilled windows of the liquor shop and took away a liquor bottle.
