Repolling to be held in three booths on Sunday

May 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:53 am IST - Mysuru:

Repolling has been ordered in three booths in Mysuru district in view of the confusion arising over ballot papers.

Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru C. Shikha, who is also the District Election Officer, told The Hindu that polling was marred in Mosambayyanahalli and Henneganahalli in Mysuru taluk as the ballot papers had been interchanged. Ballot papers given to voters in the two polling booths pertained to candidates contesting from a different constituency.

Meanwhile, the confusion in Doora polling booth in Nanjangud taluk had arisen due to error in printing of the symbols of the candidates. “Re-polling will be conducted in the three polling booths on Sunday”, Ms. Shikha said.

People will have to cast their votes once again at Mosambayyanahalli and Henneganahalli in Mysuru taluk, and Doora polling booth in Nanjangud taluk
