All-India kabaddi tourney at Bhatkal

A four-day national level kabaddi tournament will be held from December 10 under the auspices of Asadulla Kabaddi Association, Bhatkal, according to a report. A preparatory meeting was held at Bhatkal recently and association president Iayatulla Shabandri and Kabaddi trainer Ravi Shetty from Mumbai sought the cooperation of all people irrespective of caste and religion to make the tournament a grand success.

Elders in the family should tell the story of the epic Ramayana to their children at least once in a week to develop a sense of morality in them, said Deputy Commissioner Ujwalkumar Ghosh inaugurating the Valmiki Jayanti celebration held at Zilla Rangamandir at Karwar on Tuesday. “We should realise the concept of Ramarajya from the epic written by sage Valmiki,” he said.
