People were urged to follow the ideals of B.R. Ambedkar and strengthen the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in uplifting the neglected and downtrodden, here on Sunday. The integrity convention (Aikyatha Samavesha) of the party was held at B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan where a large number of people from across the State had gathered.

H.R. Mahesh, a progressive thinker, addressed the gathering and said that adopting the values of Ambedkar was the right way of paying respect to the architect of Indian Constitution.

The BSP has been striving for the betterment of the poor and exploited communities in the country. But, some elements have been conspiring to destroy the party, he warned. He added that the BSP was the party for SC, ST, OBC and religious minority communities. Unfortunately, the party has been projected as of ‘SC/STs’. The ‘Manuvadis’ have been trying to create differences between the exploited communities.

M.L. Tomar, State in-charge of BSP, also addressed the gathering. The newly-appointed BSP State president M. Krishnamurthy, Mr. Tomar and other office-bearers were felicitated.
