In order to better the administration and address issues quickly by clearing pending cases related to the Revenue Department, the district administration has decided to use a mobile app called ‘grptalk’.

The district administration has decided to use this app to hold meetings every week with different officials on one particular issue and discuss and inquire about their status.

The app is already being used extensively by corporate houses to interact with their employees and management. The same app is also used by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department and government officials in Telangana State.

With this app, matters related to public grievances, drinking water, drought, fodder, and so on would be discussed with the officials.

The district administration has already held two meetings using this app where the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was discussed. The meeting was attended by revenue and agriculture officials.

The second meeting was held to discuss the status and requirement of graveyards in 618 villages. During the meeting, revenue officials were directed to identify lands for graveyard in the villages.

The third meeting was held to discuss waste management.

‘Saves time’

Deputy Commissioner Y.S. Patil, who has taken up this initiative, said since it is not possible for him to speak individually to all the officials on the same issue, this app helps in saving time.
