38 gold medals awarded at KLE university convocation

“The fourth industrial revolution, that will change our life in every possible way, is imminent,’’ R. Venkata Rao, Vice-Chancellor, National Law School of India University, said in Belagavi on Monday.

“It will affect the way we work and live at home. It will even change the way we interact with each other. It will be a difficult challenge for the society to assimilate those changes,” he said during his convocation address at the KLE University. “It would affect the whole system and automate and mechanise our lives. Developing human values and virtues would be the only way to minimise its effects.” He asked doctors to practice medicine ethically.

Suhas M. won three gold medals in general medicine postgraduation. Kapil Dev Sihag of Ayurveda won three gold medals for research. Varun Nair, a young student of medicine who died recently, won a gold medal. A total of 1,073 students got degrees and 38 gold medals, and 20 earned Ph.Ds. Ten got post-doctoral certificates. Chancellor Prabhakar Kore, Vice- Chancellor Chandrakanth Kokate, and faculty and students were present.
