The Mysuru district police has cracked the case of serial burglary that took place in Bilikere in Hunsur taluk near here recently by arresting four suspects and recovering cash and other valuables from them.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Superintendent of Mysuru Ddistrict Police Abhinav Khare said a special team had been constituted to investigate the serial burglary reported on May 31 in Bilikere in which ten shops were looted after forcing open their rolling shutters.
The team managed to arrest Lokesh, a resident of K.R. Nagar taluk, Harish, a native of Vijayapura district, Ranga, a native of Andhra Pradesh and Gajendra, who hails from Rajasthan.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to have committed ten burglaries in Bilikere police station limits and one each in Bherya in K.R. Nagar and Vyalikaval and Soledevanahalli police station limits in Bengaluru.
Police also recovered cash worth Rs. 42,700, 93 grams gold jewellery, 147 grams of silver jewellery and four mobile phones.
