The Lokayukta court on Saturday directed Lokayukta police to submit on December 17 its final report on investigation into the private complaint filed against BJP MLA S Muniraju charging him with grabbing land by “misusing his position.”
Earlier Lokyukta police submitted the status report and sought six months time to submit its final report, which was rejected by Lokayukta judge N K Sudhindra Rao, who directed them to place the final report on December 17.
The Karnataka High Court had on Friday posted for orders to November 21 a criminal petition filed by the Dasarahalli MLA seeking quashing of the case against him.
The complaint by Puttaswamy alleged that Mr. Muniraju had illegally transferred 21 guntas of land out of 1.15 acres owned by his mother-in-law to his name “misusing his position“.
Besides Mr. Muniraju, MLA from Dasarahalli assembly constituency S Ranganath (Thasildar), Suresh (Revenue Inspector), A M Parameshwara and Rajamma are the other accused named in the complaint.
