A bridge on Hirebailu-Koove road near Koove village in Mudigere taluk collapsed following heavy rains on Sunday. A biker suffered injuries as he was crossing it.

The road connection between Hirebailu and Koove has been cut. Mudigere taluk received an average rainfall of 25 mm against the normal six mm on Sunday. Similarly, parts of Gonibeedu, Kalasa, and Javali received 14 to 34 mm of rainfall on the day.

Parts of Mudigere have been receiving heavy rain recently. Vast tracts of agricultural land were damaged in August.
