MLC hopeful of Moorusavir Mutt seer’s return

January 11, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - HUBBALLI:

The former MLC and member of the core committee of Moorusavir Mutt Mohan Limbikai has expressed confidence that Sri Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Swami, who had left for Hanagal after announcing abdication of the peetha, will return to the mutt soon.

Speaking to prespersons here on Saturday, he said that there had been positive changes in recent days and Sri Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Swami had responded positively to the plea of the devotees on returning to the mutt.

To a query on the reported renewed attempts by the followers of Dingaleshwar Swami to get him appointed as successor of Moorusavir Mutt peetha, Mr. Limbikai said that there was no question of appointing successor to the peetha as they wanted Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Swami to continue as the ‘peethadhipati’ of the mutt.

“We have requested seers of Gadag Tontadargya Mutt, Mysuru Suttur Mutt, Mungaragi Annadanishwara Mutt and Naganur Mutt to convince Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Swami to return to Hubballi and continue as the head of Moorusavir Mutt. And we are hopeful that we will have the Swami back in Hubballi soon,” he said.
