V. Srinivas Prasad, Minister for Revenue and district in-charge, and Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha have said that different committees have been formed to ensure smooth conduct of Dasara festivities this year.
Reception subcommittee and cultural subcommittee would headed by Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner C.G. Betsurmath; procession and torch light parade sub committee would be led by the City Police Commissioner; Raitha Dasara subcommittee would be headed by additional Deputy Commissioner T. Venkatesh; district-level sports, nada kusti and marathon subcommittee would be headed by the Superintendent of Police Abhinav Khare; fine arts and handicrafts subcommittee and illumination subcommittee would be headed by Mysore Urban Development Authority Commissioner M. Mahesh; and Kavi Gosti subcommittee would be headed by Additional Regional Commissioner M.R. Ravi.

Mr. Srinivas Prasad said that MLAs of Mysuru had been asked to supervise one or two committees and hold the events meaningfully.
