Congress legislators, who have been in a resort on the city’s outskirts since Friday night, are expected to return home on Monday following their meeting with AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal.

Sources said that the turn of events early on Sunday has upset Congress leaders. On Sunday evening, they spoke to Kampli MLA J.N. Ganesh, who allegedly attacked B.S. Anand Singh in the resort, and also Hagaribommanahalli legislator Bhima Naik, who witnessed the brawl. Mr. Venugopal also spoke to State leaders and legislators on the strategies to ward off threats of the BJP’s alleged attempts to poach party MLAs. Besides, he also spoke about the need to concentrate on constituencies ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, sources said.
