After “Soombe”, this 55th Tulu film has been able to completely come out of the influence of Tulu plays and provide an experience of a true commercial film.
Unlike the stories of many films which ends happily, Ekka Saka takes audience on a romantic journey mixed with comedy which ends in tragedy. Tulu comedy heroes Naveen D. Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and Sundar Rai Mandara have been able to carry the humour till the end.
Satish Bandale, a Tulu theatre artiste, attracts audience with his special character of changing the profession every time with a new avatar. First-time lead actors Sonal Monteiro and Hitesh Naik have been able to do justice to their characters. Kannada serial actors Padmaja Rao, Sudha Belavadi and Achyuta Rao and Tennis Krishna make a brief appearance.
