A meeting convened by B.R. Ambedkar Development Corporation chairperson, K. Mallajamma here on Wednesday witnessed chaos involving functionaries of various Dalit organisations.
The meeting was convened to elicit opinions of representatives of organisations to reach benefits of the corporation to genuine beneficiaries.
Chaos began in the meeting when one of the functionaries submitted a memorandum to Ms. Mallajamma urging her to fulfil various demands including adequate space at burial grounds of Dalits.
Avoiding middlemen
Earlier speaking to reporters, Ms. Mallajamma said steps will be taken including remitting the amount directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries of various schemes in order to avoid the menace of middlemen.
