Lalitha Prakash and Chandrakala Nanjundachar of the Janata Dal (Secular) were unanimously elected president and vice-president, respectively, of Mandya Zilla Panchayat here on Wednesday.
While Ms. Prakash represents the Somanahalli constituency, Ms. Nanjundachar represents the Kothathi constituency.
The JD(S) is the single largest party with 24 members in the 40-member zilla panchayat.
