Karnataka reports 77 cases, one death

The number of new COVID cases in Karnataka has marginally increased with 77 cases reported on Friday.

With this the total number of cases rose to 39,45,900. Of the new cases, 73 cases have been reported from Bengaluru Urban alone.

The day’s test positivity rate in the State stood at 0.64% while the weekly TPR remained 0.43%.

With one death, the State’s toll rose to 40,057. Besides, 42 deaths of patients due to non-COVID-19 reasons have also been recorded.

With this the weekly Case Fatality Rate (CFR) in the State touched 0.99%.

As many as 44 persons were discharged on Friday taking the total recoveries to 39,04,342.  Active cases reduced to 1,459.

As many as 11,859 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 8,876 RT-PCR tests. With this, the total number of tests rose to 6,56,81,998.
