Karnataka reports 62 COVID-19 cases, zero deaths

Karnataka reported 62 new COVID-19 cases on April 1 taking the total to 39,45,576. Of the 62, as many as 48 are from Bengaluru Urban. The day’s test positivity rate in the State stood at 0.29%.

With zero deaths, the State’s toll remained 40,054. Besides, 42 deaths of patients due to non-COVID-19 reasons have also been recorded.

As many as 70 persons were discharged on Friday taking the total recoveries to 39,03,919.  Active cases reduced to 1,561.

As many as 21,295 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 16,601 RT-PCR tests. With this, the total number of tests rose to 6,55,99,426.
