Teachers’ Association of Kannada Univeristy Hampi, on Monday staged a demonstration demanding arrest of the people responsible for the murder of M.M. Kalaburagi, renowned research scholar.
In a memorandum submitted to the authorities, they expressed their anguish over the killing of the great scholar in a shootout at point blank range. They said that researchers would be deprived of the chance to express their opinions and bring truth to light. C. Mahadev and Vasudev Badiger, president and secretary of the association, urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to direct the officials to accelerate the probe and bring the guilty to book.
