“I was in a state of total confusion regarding which course I should select according to my daughter Shwetha’s strengths. Now we know which path to choose now,” said Surekha Banagar, a homemaker, after participating in the career counselling session organised by The Hindu EducationPlus here on Sunday.
“My daughter wants to study medicine and I will stand by her and even if she fails to get good ranking in the CET, I will wait next year and prepare my daughter well to secure a higher rank,” said Ms. Banagar.
Mallinath Patil, a retired employee of ALSTORM, had come to the counselling session with his son Sangarsh Patil, who is eagerly waiting for his PUC results and CET ranking, and was in praise of the session.
“We need expert guidance on the career opportunities and particularly for the students on the threshold of choosing their academic career such type of counselling session was most important,” he said.
Sangarsh Patil, who had completed PUC in Davanagere, is confident of getting a high rank in CET and getting admission to a good engineering college in the State.
Sparsha A. Ruydrawadi, who is also waiting for her PUC and CET results, said that she was confident of doing well and wants to pursue BE in Architecture.
“All my doubts about the course and the online counselling of the KEA have been cleared thanks to the talk by Sangeeta Kattimani of the KEA,” she said.
Her father, Ambaraya Rudrawadi, said that the career counselling session should include the details of new courses, which have been introduced, and also shed light on how to prepare the wards for appearing in the KAS and IAS examinations.
