Indoor stadium inaugurated in Bidar college

Bhagwant Khuba, MP, inaugurated the indoor stadium built by the Karnataka Rashtriya Education Society on Gumpa Road in Bidar on Thursday.

It has two shuttle badminton courts, one health club and a gymnasium. It was built under a cost sharing scheme of University Grants Commission. Some philanthropists like Shankarrao Kotarki and Madiwalappa Mangalagi have also contributed to the project. The MP has also promised help to the project.

Basavaraj Patil Ashtur, president of the KRE society, said the facilities would be open for students of the society’s various institutions. Qualified coaches would be appointed to train them, he said.

Sri Shivakumar Swami of Siddharoodh Math, Channabasappa Halahalli, president of the KRE trust, and others were present.
