Heat wave continues in H-K region; Bombay Karnataka receives rain

Hyderabad Karnataka continued to face heat wave conditions with Kalaburagi recording the State’s highest maximum temperature of 40.1 degrees Celsius as per the observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department at 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Bidar continued to be under a severe heat wave spell recording a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. Kalaburagi recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, while Raichur recorded the State’s highest minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. Raichur also recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius.

Koppal and Ballari recorded an identical maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius each.

While Ballari recorded a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius, Koppal recorded a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.

The Bombay Karnataka region experienced widespread rainfall with Belagavi recording a rainfall of 4 cm, followed by Kanabaragi, Athani and Saundatti in Belagavi and Zalki in Vijayapura recording 2 cm of rainfall each. Bailhongal, Hukkeri in Belagavi, Dharwad, Khalgatgi in Dharwad district, Nargund in Gadag district, Kerur in Bagalkot district and Alamatti in Vijayapura recorded 1 cm rainfall each.
