Gold, cash stolen from three houses

Cash, gold and other valuables worth Rs. 3.57 lakh were stolen from three houses in Sirwar town, about 40 km from here, on Monday.

The burglars broke open the houses in Basavalingappa Colony when the residents were not at home and made away with cash and valuables. The police said the burglars attempted on a fourth house, but could not succeed for unknown reasons. The burglary was discovered on Tuesday morning when some of the residents returned home.

A case has been registered in Sirwar police station.
