Five killed in three road accidents

Five people were killed in three road accidents in Raichur district on Tuesday.

In a collision between a truck and a car at R.H. Cross near Sindhanur at midnight, car driver Nagaraj (30) and Basappa (26) were killed. Traffic movement on the road was disrupted for a while following the accident. A case was registered at Sindhanur police station.

In a mishap near Kasaba Lingsugur in Lingsugur taluk on Tuesday night, two people were killed. A goods carrier collided with a tractor killing the two in the goods carrier.

In the third incident, a rider was killed in Sirwar on Tuesday evening. According to the police, three people were riding on a motorbike when the rider lost control and fell. A case was registered at Sirwar police station.
