A team of experts from the Lokayukta, following complaints from the people about substandard works, visited the Ambedkar Bhavan and inspected the ongoing construction works in Mandya on Monday.
Assistant Executive Engineer Deviprasad (Lokayukta), along with some technical experts, conducted an inspection at the construction site and instructed the officials of agencies concerned to maintain good quality of construction materials.
According to the sources, Mr. Deviprasad expressed displeasure over quality of the construction works and instructed the officers to initiate measures to prevent the misuse of public money. District Social Welfare Officer B. Malathi and others were present.
