Dinesh Gundu Rao is new spokesperson of State Congress

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Dinesh Gundu Rao has been appointed as the Spokesperson of the Congress in the State by the party high command.

Mr. Rao, a first time minister in the Siddaramaiah government, represents the Gandhinagar constituency in Bengaluru. He has served as the president of the Karnataka Youth Congress.

The 46-year-old Minister has taken several initiatives for ensuing effective delivery of food grains under the “Anna Bhagya scheme” launched by the State Government two years ago.

Now, the State Government has decided give food grains free of cost to Below Poverty Line (BPL) citizens in the state.
