Dharwad slips to 14th

The district has slipped by one place in the PUC examination ranking in the State this year, to 14th position.

But the district has showed improvement in pass percentage and has registered 67.25 per cent against 59.37 last year.

Shilpa Shivanand, student of Srimati Vidya P. Hanchinmani Independent Pre-University Science College, has emerged as the district topper. She has scored 587 (97.83 per cent) marks.

Vinay Dharmadhikari, student of the same college, had scored 586 (97.67 per cent) marks, according to a release issued by the college.
