CPI(M) protests against hike in fuel price

May 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - BALLARI:

Activists of Communist Party of India – Marxist (CPI-M) on Sunday staged a demonstration to register their protest against the hiking of prices of petrol and diesel. Terming the decision to hike the price of petrol and diesel as “anti-common man”, they also burnt the effigy of the Union government at the Gadagi Chennappa Circle in the city.

The activists strongly criticised the Union government for repeatedly increasing the prices of petrol and diesel.

This, according to them, had hit the common man as the prices of essential commodities were also increasing.
