Court frames charges against Pascal Mazurier

February 11, 2014 01:07 pm | Updated May 18, 2016 07:27 am IST - Bangalore:

A special court here framed charges against French diplomat Pascal Mazurier on Monday, for allegedly raping his daughter. The court had heard Mazurier’s plea, seeking his discharge in the case.

However, Special Public Prosecutor B.T. Venkatesh contended that Mazurier’s involvement could be proved during the course of trial. Considering this, the court framed charges against Mazurier under section 376 of IPC (punishment for rape) and posted the matter to February 15, to fix the date of trial.
