The consecration of Mar Antony Kariyil, the Bishop-elect of the diocese of Mandya, will be held at the Infant Jesus Cathedral, Hunsur Road, Hinkal, at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Mar George Njaralakkatt, the Archbishop of Thalassery, will be the principal consecrator and Salvatore Pennacchio, the Apostolic Nuncio to India and Bernard Moras, the Archbishop of Bengaluru, the co-consecrators. More than 40 Bishops from different parts of the country are expected to attend the ceremony. This will be followed by a public function which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Sidharamaiah and presided over by Dr. Bernard Moras, a press release said here. — Special Correspondent
