Congress Tumakuru dist. president held in prostitution racket

The Tumakuru Congress district president was among four persons arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police following a raid on a guest house in Doddabidarakallu in Peenya on Saturday, from where, allegedly, a prostitution racket was being run.

Ramakrishna, alias Ravikumar, 49, Congress district president of Tumakuru, was caught as a customer at the guest house.

The police have also registered cases against Raju, Mahantesh, and Shilpa, who were running the racket.

The CCB sleuths produced the accused before the court, and Ramakrishna was granted bail, while the other three accused were remanded in judicial custody. The KPCC, meanwhile, has expelled Ramakrishna.
