With five ranks among the top 10 ranks in the State in CET examinations in its kitty, Udupi district is basking under an extended glory after its remarkable performance in this year’s SSLC and II PU results.
The results of CET were declared on Monday.
Sudeep G.C. of Poornaprajna Pre-University College alone has bagged three ranks. He has achieved the eighth rank in Medicine and Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and the sixth rank in Indian System of Medicines and Homeopathy (ISHM).
Shishir G. of Viveka PU College, Kota, has bagged the sixth rank in Engineering, while Anjali Venugopal from Karkala Jnansudha PU College, Kukkundoor, has got the fourth rank in Architecture.
It may be recalled that Udupi topped the State in the SSLC results with 93.37 per cent this year, coming back from the 16th position, where it was pushed to 2013-14. Similarly in II PU results, the district retained its second position in Karnataka with 92.32 per cent this year, losing to Dakshina Kannada by a whisker of 0.77 per cent.
