The Cabinet of the JD(S)-Congress coalition government will be expanded by the end of the month, Deputy Chief Minister and senior Congress leader G. Parameshwar said in Belagavi on Saturday.

There is no groupism or disunity among Congress leaders, there are no differences of opinion amongst alliance leaders. Everything is going on smoothly and it will go on smoothly in future, he told reporters at the passing out parade of KSRP trainees.

He said he was happy to have led the State Congress committee for many years before transferring charge to Dinesh Gundurao. “I am satisfied about my work as KPCC president. I will carry out any responsibility that the high command gives me. If I am asked to be the Chief Minister sometime in future, I will take up the responsibility.”

The Home Minister also said that the State government was committed to protecting the interest of police personnel. “We will implement the Auradkar Committee recommendation in phases. As per the recommendation, we have increased the wages of personnel. We are also considering the suggestion on hiking their salaries,” he said.
