BVB College to be KLE Technological University

KLE Society’s BVB College of Engineering and Technology, a premiere educational institution in North Karnataka, is all set to become a private technological university and will start functioning from academic year 2015-16. The college will from now onwards be known as KLE Technological University and principal of the college Ashok Shettar is designated to be the first Vice-Chancellor, while chairman of KLE Society Prabhakar Kore will be Chancellor.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, Mr. Kore and Prof. Ashok Shettar said the KLE Technological University Act 2012 had been enacted for the purpose.

While 40 per cent of the seats would be filled through Karnataka CET process and the rest would be through COMED-K rankings.
