P.C. Jaffer, Hassan Deputy Commissioner, has imposed prohibitory orders in the district between 6 a.m. on Tuesday and midnight on Wednesday, banning bursting of crackers, victory celebrations and the taking out of processions.

The district administration has taken this decision to maintain law and order after the results are out. The order prohibits victory celebrations, carrying explosives, bursting of crackers, and possessing lethal weapons at public places.

People have been barred from raising slogans.

Besides this, the administration has restricted entry into the counting centre.

The administration has completed the preparation for the counting at Government Engineering College. Each constituency has been allotted a separate room to count the votes. Each room has 14 tables.

After the counting of votes in one round, the result will be announced.

The counting of votes polled in Holenarasipur will be completed in 23 rounds, votes in Arakalgud and Sakaleshpur will take 21 rounds. The other constituencies require 20 rounds each. As many as 45 officials each have been deputed to count votes of the seven constituencies.
