BJP likely to issue notice to Chavan

December 12, 2014 05:08 am | Updated November 17, 2021 12:21 am IST - BELAGAVI:

Concerned over the possible impact of its MLA Prabhu Chavan being caught on TV cameras while zooming in on to a picture of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on his mobile phone in the Assembly, the Bharatiya Janata Party is seriously considering disciplinary action against him.

According to party sources, a show-cause notice is likely to be served on Mr. Chavan by Friday seeking explanation from him on why disciplinary action should not be initiated against him for his “objectionable” behaviour. The party central leadership too is learnt to have got details of the episode from its State unit.
