A snake-bite victim was taken to K.R. Hospital here on Saturday night for treatment but the doctors were perplexed as the patient brought with him the snake that bit him.

Farmer Nagaraju from Mandya district was bitten by a snake when working on his farm. His father rushed him to the hospital for treatment. He also trapped the snake that bit his son and took it to the hospital to determine whether it was poisonous or not.

Balasubramaniam, councillor, Mysuru City Corporation, — popularly known as ‘Snake Shyam’ — visited the hospital and concluded that the snake was not poisonous. The doctors treated the victim for the bite and discharged him.
